Valentine's Day Walk on the Warm Side - Fire Pits and Luminaria

Location

On-neck streets of Castine.

The Castine Arts Association invites you to participate in a Valentine’s Day Walk on the Warm Side between 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, February 14.  We are asking for on-neck resident volunteers to put metal fire pits or luminaria at the end of their driveways during that two hour period so that families, individuals, and pods may enjoy being outdoors and warm themselves along the way by stopping at the various fire pit sites.

If you would like to provide a fire pit for the event, the following is required:

Call town hall and request a fire permit for the event.
Place your fire pit/brazier on your own property, but near the abutting road.
An adult should be on-hand to tend the fire for the duration.
Extinguish the flames at the conclusion of the event.

Luminaria do not require a fire permit

If you would like to participate as a stroller, observe the following:

Wear a mask.

Socially distance.

Demonstrate caution near any fire.

Note: bad weather postponement will be on February 15.
